cast iron hinges
Just bought a box of 4" cast iron butts - very expensive. Disappointed
to find that they aren't the real thing but sort of antique effect cast iron. i.e. they are cast iron but are crude and badly made. Is it no longer possible to get the genuine article? Proper CI hinges were precisely made, easy to fit and lasted many times longer than any alternative. Seems that everything nowadays is just fake crap. cheers Jacob |
