ace hardware probably has them

5/8" ID x 15/16" OD x 1/8" thick are used in the LP tanks for our
forklift... the gas supplier gives them to us.

Sounds like the gasket used in the end of a garden hose fitting.
Cheap and plentiful.

if it's flat, search for rubber washer, not o-ring. o-rings are round
section, in common parlance.
