Default Canon MV890 mechanism

I've got a nice little Canon MV890 camcorder here which has a faulty video
head. Seeing as Canon don't supply spare parts I've been looking on eBay
etc. to get one to transplant parts from.

Problem is, I'm not sure what other models use the same mechanism.

The instruction manual for the MV890 covers the MV890, MV900, MV901 & MV920
so I assume they are the same, and I know the DM-MV300E, MV300iE & MV310E
use a similar but slightly different mechanism, but other than that I've no
idea.

So - anyone know what mechanism models like the MV630, MV700 etc. use?

Ok, let me rephrase this. Does anyone know if the MV600 series uses the
Canon DMC-III or DMC-II mechanism?
