I sold the last Rockwell miller a couple years ago, to a gentleman who did a abso****inglutely beautiful restoration job on it. Marvelous. I have pics somewhere if you want to see it. However..depending on what puked..it may be simpler to build a new power feed using a small DC motor and controller. A number of folks have done just that, and have posted the pics here. WTF Rockwell Vertical Mill
I'm contemplating getting rid of the power feed. It is noisy and doesn't
work very well. BUT I'm still new at the problem. Maybe some more thinking will make it right. Otherwise I was thinking of putting the stock hand feed wheel on it if I could find the setup. I'm not enough of a machinist to make all the pieces (Yet). In the really need dept. The hand feed, spring, and clutch are missing from the spindle feed. Just the coarse feed lever on the right. I don't really need them but it would be nice. It's a good old machine, just needs a little TLC. -- Clif Holland KA5IPF www.avvid.com "Gunner" wrote in message ... I adapted a geared rotisserie motor to one many years ago and it worked well enough. Honest Al |

It's a good old machine, just needs a little TLC. I have a Delta Rockwell 21-100 vertical mill, and the HAND feed is sticky, and doesn't really work very well. I put a wheel on the knee crank, and it is very precise, but lacks the pressure feedback feel of that sticky drill press shift knob. -- Accidental creation should not be taught as a fact.
