Default OT - I hear voices...

In article , Gunner says...

And we saved their asses quite a number of times since them. At far
larger cost. The debt is long been paid.

(here, Claude Raines carefully inspects a bottle labled
'Vichy Water' and then throws it in the garbage can. He
then kicks the can)

Is this about the neocons naming Greenpeace "terrorists"
again for protesting the illegal importation of endangered hardwoods
from South America into the US and using the "patriot" act against
them?

Bit out of date. The Greenies were acquitted via a directed verdict.
Also, they weren't being prosecuted under the patriot act, they
were charged with Sailormongering, a law dating back to 1872.

BTW, By their own admission, their "protest" involved illegally
boarding the Jade.

But why let facts get in the way of a good rant?

At the other end, I was advised to not help a friend with her German
lessons. Between her French and my Bavarian, the professor (from northern
Germany) was getting all weirded out.

I recall writing a memo for myself late one night, after helping polish
off the last of the whiskey. Oy. English with German syntax, bits of
Russian (with German transliterated into Cyrrilic, because I couldn't
remember the Russian word.). I keep that, because it give me amusement
and
a puzzle when I attempt to re-read it. "What was I drinking?" :-)
