Wow, great deal! Grainger wants $36.65 for a 6' stick of it, plus s/h. This of course is 316 stainless... What would half inch tubing be doing on a sailboat? It's not strong enough to tie up with, not strong enough to tie a sail to, or use to help a 200# human get onboard from the ocean. Hmm... Magazine or plate retaining rails in the galley? -- A mind, like a home, is furnished by its owner, so if one's life is cold and bare he can blame none but himself. -- Louis L'Amour |

: http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/mat/4730294434.html Some photo analysis indicates its *NOT* 1/2" tubing. The images are consistant with 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" tubing and it is most likely to be the latter as that would be a simple typo placing the ad. If its the right size for stancheons someone local will have probably snapped it up by now. -- Ian Malcolm. London, ENGLAND.
