It was sitting in a pool of JP4 and most of it was puddled into the
remains of the pavement. Those enclosed towers would have fed it plenty
of air.

After burning furniture, plastics, carpeting, etc, plus fuel hit the
bottom and started smoldering? Right.

Some idiot ran a stop sign and hit the tanker. He ended up in
the base hospital. No remains of the truck driver were found.

Ever hear of thermite? It will go trough a car engine, once it is
burning ot enough.

That's because the oxidized aluminum tank and steel frame rust got
together to party with the jet fuel.


It was a stainless steel tank. Aluminum would have puddled.
