Default Pouring ...

The concrete floor for my "new" shop space at our new residence in The
Ozarks today !

Actually , it's the metal carport I moved here from Memphis , but the new
space is 25% larger than the wooden shed I had the shop in down there .
After I get the shop up , the next project will be an area for my foundry
stuff - a lot less work as all it'll require is a shed roof and maybe one
wall besides the back wall of the shop to keep most of the rain off the
furnace and molding table .
And I've already got a couple of jobs lined up ! Neighbor across the road
has a turbo housing he wants altered , and a good friend that runs a car
resto business has a few little jobs he needs done . I've been told by
several people that a small machine shop is needed in the area , looks like
they might be right .

Pictures someplace?

If it works, it's beautiful. No matter what it looks like.

My conservative friends think I'm a liberal kook.
Why am I not happy that they have found common ground?

I'm hoping this is the niche I've been searching for up here . I've been
doing the handyman thing in Memphis , but up here Stone County AR every
country-bubba with a circular saw and a pickup truck is a "handyman" . But I
haven't heard of a single small machine shop in the area . Got a couple of
meduim/medium small shops doing production stuff , but no small-job shops .
That friend that does car restorations has a small welding job for me ,
doing it on saturday . Guy wants a no-visible-fastener install of new wood
in a stepside truck bed . I'll be migging the bolts to the underside of the
clamp strips .
And so it begins ...

There are 3 shots posted at alt.binaries.pictures.motorcycles.harley .
That's the only place I currently put photos on the web . I do have
downsized copies I can email , and my reply-to is good . The new shop is a
12x20 metal carport that's been set up in my back yard in Memphis for a
couple of years . I have some salvaged 4x8' galv sheet for closing it up .
The guy that helped me pour and finish the floor knows someone that's got a
bunch of 2" foam insulation ...I might have to scrub a little chicken poop
off some of it . I figger a month from now I'll be all set up , lathe level
and mill trammed in .
