I found an interesting historical analysis that appears to contradict that. You had to reach back 50 years! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Dea...25_ 1948-1964 This shows the percentages of different demographic groups, including breakdowns by education level, that voted for the Democrat in presidential elections from 1948 to 1964. In all five elections, the less education one had, the more prone to vote for the Democrat. Even Read the text above the chart. Those same stupid ones had simply become Republicans. "Beginning in the 1960s, the southern cities and suburbs started voting Republican." "With the collapse of the New Deal coalition in the South, in the 1960s, the region has generally voted for Republicans in presidential elections." Right on. |

Why don't you compare Democrat to Republican? We're talking about education, not geography. The more education one has, the less likely one is to vote Democrat. Let's talk about you misrepresenting what the numbers tell us. Look at 1964 again. College educated 52% voted Democrat High School educated 62% voted Democrat Grade School educated 66% voted Democrat Go ahead, put the missing Republican numbers on the chart. Clearly, the less education one has, the MORE likely one is to vote Republican. |

Intelligence, education and party affiliation

In *EVERY* election in which it has been measured, the percentage of the electoral segment that votes for the Democrat *falls* as educational attainment goes up, until one gets to grad shool. So, you'll exclude the highest-educated because they spoil the curve that you want. That holds true in *every* election. So, even when the Democrat wins a majority of a given educational attainment demographic, his share relative to the share he got of a lower education level goes down. Or, put another way, voters who finish at least Grade School are likely Democrats, while those who don't even make it onto the chart are Republicans. It is beyond dispute: as level of educational attainment goes up, the likelihood of voting Democrat decreases. Until you hit that Grad School level, which you'll necessarily overlook because it spoils everything. And you'll overlook the sub-Grade School level too, where more Republicans sit. Sure, just cut off the top of the curve (Democrat) and the bottom (Republican) as you wish. |

Seems as though the KKK has been an official arm of the Democratic Party for 150 yrs. And the Kluxers are still voting for Democrats. Sorry..something is quite wrong with your math. Kluxers are never that smart. Gunner -- "Confronting Liberals with the facts of reality is very much akin to clubbing baby seals.
