naration says the dam cost an ASTOUNDING 175 million dollars to build.
The Feds can't even buy toilet paper for their courthouses for that
price today.

I've seen the movie several times in Boulder City, NV. A must see if you
are in the area.

The most outstanding memory in the movie to me is one of the dump truck
scenes. They are driving hard tired chain driven dump trucks. This guy
backs up with a load to dump. He puts it in reverse. He pulls the chain
for the dump to raise up. It starts. He then gets out of his seat, and
gets up on the top of the back of his seat and is driving with his foot!

OSHA would have a cow today. But, they lost several men just from working
in the diversion tunnels with diesel trucks due carbon monoxide poisoning,
something they were totally (or so the company said) unaware of.

Quite a flick.
