Default wassup?

David Freese just accepted the MVP for the World Series with his frickin
ballcap on backwards. He was eloquent, and respectful.

But WTF is it with this backwards ball cap thing? It don't matter most of
the time, but it seems sometimes there are places where it's just indicative
of some clueless hick. If it is going to interfere with the camera, simply
remove your hat, son.

Where did this come from?

Steve

You want the cap on right too?

Why do you care?

As you said, he was eloquent and respectful.

When you accept the MVP you can do it differently, until then, just
shut-up and watch.

It's part of the new ignorance is cool program that is sweeping the
country. Being dumb is in these days. Not only do adult men not know
that it's really stupid to wear baseball caps backwards, but they don't
even know it's wrong to wear a hat at all when they are inside or worse
when they are at the dinner table, which I see all the time.

He gave an eloquent focused interview. So did LaRussa (sp). He sure has
aged well.

I care because of tradition and common etiquette. It's like people during
the Pledge of Allegiance, or the National Anthem.

Take your ****ing hat off.
Stand ****ing still.
Shut the **** up.

Sounds like you're one of those ****wit jerkwads I'm talking about.

Go tell your kids what to do. They will pay as much attention to you as I
do.

Different strokes for different folks. Remember:

A white sports coat and a pink carnation?

Don't step on my blue suede shoes?

Bobby Socks?

Pegged Pants?

ROFLMAO!!

True indeed.

However..one should remember that this was not true in the 1920s and
30s...

Etc etc

One could not be a successful Leftwinger without realizing that,
in contrast to the popular conception supported by newspapers
and mothers of Leftwingers, a goodly number of Leftwingers are
not only narrow-minded and dull, but also just stupid.

Good book on the subject "Tough Jews" - about the Jewish gangs and
gangsters. One can "blame" the Jews for the rum-runners. One of the
wheeler dealers (Arnold "the Brain" Rothstein) got approached by two
guys for some backing on smuggling a small boat load of liquor over
the border. He said he'd think about it - and a couple days later
made his counter-offer. Smuggle a ship load in, and he'd cut them in
on the profits. "And thus, and American institution was born..."

Also "the ride", as in "Take him for ...". And many other
colorful idioms and pastimes of the 20th century.

"Meier Lansky.
Buggsy Seigel.
Even Jews.
Do thing illegal."

Of course the smart money had got out before the big investigations in
the 50s.

Go not to the Net for answers, for it will tell you Yes and no. And
you are a bloody fool, only an ignorant cretin would even ask the
question, forty two, 47, the second door, and how many blonde lawyers
does it take to change a lightbulb.
