I learned that it was a person who believed that enough to try to live like
Christ said to live. Or at least try, and admit it when they failed, then
keep trying.

A person who qualifies as a Christian as you describe above is a Christian
about 2 hours a week, then the other 166 goes and does whatever his willy
and greed say to do. Then shows up for two hours of silent confession,
communion, and don't forget the obligatory offering. Don't know about where
you live, but that describes a lot of folks where I live.
