Any good suggestions for storage of horizontal mill cutters?

Cut Plwood to span the drawer inside, attach a top and bottom cross bar, drill holes in the top bar and use a wood bolt through the sides of the draws to allow the trays to fold on top of one another. Spaced correctly, the mills would never tough one another and long mills would still fit in the short drawers. R. Wink Hey R. Wink, Not a bad idea! ! Good for end mills and such. On the other hand, the OP (Gunner) wants to store horizontal milling cutters, no doubt ranging from 2 or 3" to 8 or 10" in diameter, and a wide range of "widths", so the index isn't well suited to that. Good thought though, Take care,. Brian Lawson, Bothwell, Ontario. |

The Abene has a 4hp spindle and can and does turn a 2" endmill quite well, with its 1300 rpm max speed, but does go down to 17rmp nicely.
