We owe it to every freedom loving American to get to the bottom of
this. There's so much of this stuff around there just has to be
something to it.

(OK, I'm paraphrasing someone who, after taking pains to distance
himself from those "conspiracy nuts," made an argument to that effect
in the birther thread.)

Other then that the PKI (Party Komunist Indonesia) was outlawed after
the 1965 upraising and no Indonesian would have willingly identify
themselves as a communist in 1978, and the street name being incorrect
- there is no Karl Marx Boulevard in Jakarta, and the structure and
format of the letter being totally foreign to Indonesian practice it
certainly looks authentic, doesn't it?

Jeez, I'm glad it was no more than a minute. g

BTW, and to further antagonize you, the real policy wonks out there think
that Biden is one of the best VPs in American history. He just stumbles over
his words and the right has piled on.

No, I'm not going to give you links.

That was based on judgments about what he's doing in White House meetings
etc. Apparently he's a major contributor, with more policy experience and
political experience than almost any of the rest of them.

Perfect example of right wing thinking, or lack thereof. Biden is a
smart, well educated, experienced, and knowledgeable politician. By all
the reports he's doing the job well and is well suited to the position.
With that said, you just have to know that no right winger is going to
like him. They would take the inexperienced, poorly educated, woman from
Alaska over him any day of the week. And you wonder why we had
problems when they got to choose who would run the country?

It's hard to understand what Wes found on C-Span that sets him against
Biden, because anyone except the right-wing nutjobs generally say he's one
of the best. When Obama chose him, he drew praise from Dick Luger (R-IN),
Chuck Hagel (R-NE), and other Republicans, for his experience and his
quality in the Senate. Before he was a candidate, even more of them spoke
very well of him.

He does have a bad case of chronic foot-in-mouth, but that isn't the
substance that matters. The antagonism toward him is mostly mindless
partisanship.

Well, we're going to fix that, Steve. We've re-considered the terms, and
we're going to require that all presidential candidates be born and living
in the original 13 states, and be able to trace their genealogy to at least
two direct ancestors who fought in the American Revolution -- on the
revolutionary side.

That will get rid of the come-latelies and foreign subversives from the
Territories. Maybe I'll consider running myself. Don't worry about that,
because we're not going to allow you to vote on it, anyway. d8-)

The problem with that is all the states other than the original 13 are
likely to secede. And that would leave the US without any oil and not
much manufacturing. Just Ca and Texas together would probably have an
economy as large as the original 13 states.

Heh, heh...have you looked in Ft. Knox lately? Have you checked those silos?
Have you noticed all of the truck traffic headed east these days? Do you
wonder why soldiers from Ft. Dix are guarding the roads in and out of the
New Jersey Pine Barrens? Have you noticed that the south end of Manhatten
has sunk a full six inches over the past ten years?

Carry on....d8-)

The truck traffic must be the empties coming to fetch the people
moving out.

MA, PA, NJ, and NY are all expected to lose one congressional seat
after the next census. Texas expect to gain three of those four.

As you say, carry on.

Of course! We've been doing that for years. We take our mental defectives
and moral degenerates and offer them $100 and a box of "Palin for President"
campaign buttons if they promise to head west and never come back. Most of
them take us up on it. Have you looked around?

Where is it wrong, Richard? We're sending the moral degenerates and
mental defectives away -- our population is decreasing and we're losing
seats in Congress.

Our loss is your gain. If you want to identify them, look for the people
selling "Palin for President" buttons. d8-)

Hmmm, ok.

Must be genetic then.
Because there sure are a lot of them coming down...

Hell, yes. Enjoy their company, they're yours now. And we have a little more
elbow room. g

N.J. housing should decrease in price with the lower demand making it
easier for residents to upgrade their residences. Texas real estate
(the original savings and loan people) booming, maybe offset the 11
percent drop in US new house sales I see in the news.

Something for everyone :-)

So he's not running the country then, just being an imposter. Thanks for
