Thanx, Ed! Pete was a favorite in early RCM. He dates back to the T-nut days. It is too bad he
was driven off RCM by the general run of crap that is existent now. Your reference to Pete is a
nice reminder of the salad days of RCM.

Old-timers here will remember Pete Albrecht; some may remember that his
major line of work at the time was translating German engineering books into
English. He also worked for Porsche in Germany and learned his race car
driving from Paul Frere.

Pete and Paul Frere translated _The Porsche Book: The Complete History of
Types and Models_, which is reviewed in the New York Times:

"First Law of Leftist Debate
The more you present a leftist with factual evidence
that is counter to his preconceived world view and the
more difficult it becomes for him to refute it without
losing face the chance of him calling you a racist, bigot,
homophobe approaches infinity.

This is despite the thread you are in having not mentioned
race or sexual preference in any way that is relevant to
the subject." Grey Ghost

Tell him to stop messing around being successful and get back here where he
belongs.

His and Gary Coffman's disagreements with others were mild compared with some
of the whack-jobs we have nowadays.
