Not exactly iron powder, but you can buy a 10lb bag of #7 steel shot
for $21.99.

Finer steel shot is used in shotblasting (like sandblasting). There
are many suppliers, don't know what a bag of that goes for. Google
and a couple of phone calls might be enlightening.
