Standard excuse and rationale at least back to the IWW scare
after WW1. It's always "outside agitators" and/or naive misled
gullible locals that don't understand the problems. [If they
understood the problem then they wouldn't be "difficult," and
they would do it my way.]

It's time to come up with at least a new excuse.

last night on rachel maddow she showed video of demonstrations in iran
protesting ahmadinejad's swearing in. people protesting even being
photographed by police and the threat of arrest.
too bad we here in the u.s. just rolled over when the election was stolen
here. made me think iran is setting an example for the world. too bad we
didn't take to the streets en masse here. maybe everyone here is afraid of
the potential for goon squads with truncheons.
