From a recent email from someone claimng to be his son....

Hello,

I am Brian Lawson's son Chris. My parents are on a road trip in the
U.S. but unfortunately I haven't heard from them since Christmas day.
They take road trips quite often and they don't normally contact me on a
daily basis while traveling but they do normally call me on New Years
Eve. Plus I asked my Dad to email me from a hotel just to let me know
where they are and how they are doing. So I'm a little concerned. They
gave me a rough itinerary but nothing concrete because they like to take
their time and be spontaneous in their travels. After calling several
motel chains I have found that they stayed in Memphis on Dec 25 and then
New Orleans on Dec 27. I do not know where they went from there. Before
they left Canada they booked a room in York Pennsylvania for Jan 14. I
am hoping that my Dad has contacted you. If not I am hoping that you
might possibly be a member of one the Internet forums that my Father
frequents. In the past while visiting me here in Los Angeles he would
have coffee with friends that he made on the forums. I do not know what
specific forums he uses but I believe one of them is associated with
NAMES (North American Model Engineering Society). If you belong to one
of these forums can you please make a post asking if anyone has met or
talked to him within the past week or so and to contact me? I can be

overreacting but I am concerned.

I was in contact with Brian in December in conjunction with some NAMES activity. At that time he
told me pretty much the same thing as stated in your message.

I would like to take this opportunity to Wish You a Pleasant and
Festive Holiday Season!! It turns out to be very happy for me
personally, and for wife, in that our son and his new wife flew in
yesterday for a Christmas visit with her parents in Columbus,
Ohio. We have been invited to spend a few days with them, so will be
leaving here early tomorrow morning. (In the midst of a predicted
snowstorm!!) We expect to continue on south from there to sunnier
climes for most of January, so will not be returning home until
January 21, 2009. I will not have email available to me until after
