There may be a little truth in what Peter Hitchens writes about Barack
Obama. But as usual he has taken the point of view to such an extreme
that
few people will take him seriously. Most will laugh at him for being a
curmudgeon.

Only Britain still produces characters like Hitchens. g A former
Trotskyite turned extreme conservative, he's the kind that Eric Hoffer
wrote
about in _The True Believer_. We used to have many of them in the US but
we
have better medications now.

True but it does no good it they aren't taking them. Which he clearly isn't.
My take is that he's using alcohol in place of the prescription drugs he
sorely needs.
