Doctored ammo has been a US pys war tactic for many years, when dealing with asyemetric forces. Sticking a bit of C4 into a 7.62x39 round and slipping a bunch of them into a cache of enemy ammo tends to make those shooting at you flinch a bunch. In fact..I saw what I believe to have been a doctored round fired by a bad guy once. That bolt came right out of the back of the AK, took off most of his face, and dropped his buddies on both sides of him. Was rather neat actually, considering they were shooting in my direction.... Ended that bit of foolishness right fast. Gunner Whenever a Liberal utters the term "Common Sense approach"....grab your wallet, your ass, and your guns because the sombitch is about to do something damned nasty to all three of them. |

There is nothing to say that the camera WASN'T damaged but if it was, not to any major degree. It may well have been outside the major blast area, using a tele lens. Any number of logical scenarios here. Jim |

The benefit wasn't so much how many gomers got directly dispatched as it was upon morale. Psywar. When one gomer gets killed by his own weapon, all that see or hear about that event get nervous. Having trepidations about firing one's weapon can significantly diminish one's effectiveness in combat, more so in attack than in defense but the VC was seldom in defensive mode by virtue of being diffuse. |
