Jim I'm having trouble with Verizon as well. I spent an hour online and by phone with them this morning. No joy. They were able to post a test message to the group from my PC but I can't see it in Outlook Express, but I can see it through GoogleGroups. The last messages displayed in OE are from 9/12. |

'Free.teranews.com' stopped posting anything from me to the news group. They didn't bother to tell
me why, what, when. I spent several days troubleshooting to finally tumble to the idea there was nothing wrong with my NG setup. I signed on with giganews today. Thanx to Jon Elson and others for the recommendation. Bob Swinney "robert" wrote in message ... "Tyrone" wrote in message ... He's with Verizon, which has dropped *all* alt.* newsgroups, which would certainly include alt.test. And that is *nasty*, setting followups to alt.test without mentioning it in the article body. *He* can't post to alt.test, so that would just die, but anyone who can will get flooded with auto-reply messages, assuming that alt.test works like the other test groups in the past.
