Default Ping-Gunner, ebay weapons sales?

I have a friend who want's me to sell a couple of civil war era black powder
arms. How are the guys floating past Ebay's guidlines these days? Any
suggestions for other equally reliable auction sites?

auctionarms.com or gunbroker.com are the way to go. eBay is clueless at
best in regards to "bullet tips" and other scary things they don't
understand. Might as well support someone who isn't actively anti-gun.

None of my business but Dave is 100% on the money. I use GunBroker all the
time to buy and sell (Through a third party FFL holder) Just be super sure
of the laws on the transfer if you buy or sell any and I do mean "any"
firearm in yours and the sellers states. The BATFE has zero sense of humor
if you make a mistake, even as innocent as can be. They will ass-rape you to
they get bored with indicting you forever and you won't even be able to buy
a squirt gun when they get done with you. No joke. Just words of caution
from someone who actively trades and sells firearms as a hobby. Relic or
not be super sure and even ask them if you have questions. I asked (them,
the BATFE) about a title III SBR I was interested in and almost bought. in
IL. It's a felony of all felonies. They saved me just by asking.
Ebay is a joke They made gunbroker and auctionarms into fortunes by being
anti-gun (parts, mags, part kits that are demilled, etc, ect.) Both sites
have the best pricing on ammunition a lot of the times as well. Not a biggie
with black powder but I thought I'd toss it out there. Good luck and I hope
you get the Civil war arm you want. They are truly a piece of history.

Respects,

Rob

Both auctionarms.com and gunbroker.com are good.

Just remember that the government monitors both of them so keep the
transactions squeaky clean.

When did you start thinking the Bush adminstration was competent?

They never have been....history offers numerous examples of its
failures.

Back to Auctionarms/Gunbroker...be aware that the government runs
stings on both sites.

Federal Assault Weapons Ban (AWB) was a subtitle of the Violent Crime
Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, a federal law of the United
States that included a prohibition on the sale to civilians of certain
semi-automatic "assault weapons" manufactured after the date of the
ban's enactment. The ten-year ban was passed by Congress on September
13, 1994 and was signed into law by President Bill Clinton the same
day. The ban expired on September 13, 2004, as part of the law's
sunset provision. (under Bush)

And it was the Bush administration that stated the 2nd Amendment was
an Individual Right.

It was under the Clinton Administration that the 2nd Amendment was
trashed.

And Dems continue to push for gun control. See any Bush proposed?

When ebay dropped sales of gun parts, this came up on ALL the forums.
I read a bunch of the discussions. What a got out of it was

Gunbroker is the older site with more traffic and listings.
Gunbroker tends to take the sellers side in a dispute.
AuctionArms tends to be more evenhanded and seem genuinely concerned
that both parties get a fair resolution in a disputed sale. personal
involvment from the site owner seems to be common, as is follow-up
inquiries to makes sure both parties lived up to an agreement.
Those with experience on both tend to favor Auction Arms.
