manufacturer is taking them seriously? Most US congressmen would
only know of electrolysis as a method of removing unwanted hair.

The "water welders" of 40 years ago added methanol to the water to
increase the heat content of the flame. Without the methanol they
produced high spot temperatures but not enough heat to be useful on
any but very small workpieces.

As far as I can tell it simply electrolyzes water to produce hydrogen
and oxygen in the proper proportions to fuel an oxygen-hydrogen torch
suitable for cutting and welding. There are no claims I could find of
net energy output. It *does* draw 17 amps at 220V (presumably
transformed, rectified, and maybe filtered to a little over 1 VDC).

The second paragraph on the page cited:
" This unique gas is infinitely stable until it comes in contact with a
select target media. Then it sublimates, causing a molecular surface
exchange of certain elements, reacting with such excitation as to cause
temperatures of up to 10,000° F, the temperature of our Sun's surface,
which is currently the limits of our ability to measure."

is (in my opinion as a physical chemist) frankly pure BS from
Marketing.


This is an old scam - sometimes referred to as "Brown's Gas". It is
electrolysis of water, as the above notes, and always consumes more energy
than is produced.
