Default Really good deal on wheel, air cyl & valve assy

Greetings All,
Surplus Center has a good deal on an assembly that consists of a 3/4
bore x 2 1/4 stroke double acting cylinder (Bimba brand), 24 volt 4
way solenoid valve, 5 each 1/4 OD tube size nickle plated brass
pushlock fittings, a nice 3 inch caster wheel, and the hardware to put
the whole thing together. All this for $9.99. This link should get you
the

The item number is 1-2194 if the link doesn't work.
Anyway, I bought a dozen of these because of the solenoid valves. They
are Humphrey brand and sell for about 42 bucks retail. I use these
types of valves for automating tooling so it was a good deal for me
even if I threw the rest away. These things are so good as an assembly
if you need to raise and lower a wheel or pull on a rod or whatever
that it almost seems a shame to take 'em apart. They are brand new and
clean. I just ordered 6 more because I found uses for 6 assemblies
right off the bat. There are only about 160 left in stock and when I
ordered the first 12 two weeks ago there were 370 or so in stock. I'm
only a customer and posting this won't do me any good.

Glenn Ashmore, one of these Bimba cylinders might make a great
viscous damper for your camera mount. The damping factor could be
set with an orifice or a needlevalve.
