Talk about bad science from a world group. And this is the group that wanted to
have the US by itself (almost) go back to walking to work.... I suppose the forests of the central plain in the U.S. didn't play into anything - or maybe The massive mountain in Chicago and Manhattan - and the flat plane from the Mississippi to the Pacific ocean. Gosh and then the Great lakes dug by massive ice flows - the badlands and western US a drain to the ocean - being dumped upon by rocks from Canada and the northern states. Man can't outwork a volcano. There are many active volcano's in the world. Plate Tectonics (which some people still don't believe in (invented in the 60's)) moves continents and alters everything. Even Hawaii - building another island south of the big island - as the prior islands sweep into the northern Pacific and melt into the ocean. The Ring of fire is not only in the pacific, but routes all around the world. Most of it is bashing. From the have nots on the haves. Like the web, most anything can be said. Even published. Perhaps you could provide a quote that led you to believe this. Take a look at the United Nations IPCC website, and see what they had to say in their Third Assessment Report. Lots of statements that reasonable people might take to mean the IPCC was claiming that anthropogenic global warming was proved. Not a single clear disclaimer in their executive summary saying "Hey, take all of this with a grain of salt. We all know that anthropogenic global warming is unproved and unprovable". http://www.ipcc.ch/pub/un/syreng/spm.pdf "The Earth's climate system has demonstrably changed on both global and regional scales since the pre-industrial era, with some of these changes attributable to human activities." "There is new and stronger evidence that most of the warming observed over the last 50 years is attributable to human activities." "Climate change will exacerbate water shortages in many water-scarce areas of the world." "Populations that inhabit small islands and/or low-lying coastal areas are at particular risk of severe social and economic effects from sea-level rise and storm surges." "The impacts of climate change will fall disproportionately upon developing countries and the poor persons within all countries" "Climate change affects environmental issues such as loss of biodiversity, desertification, stratospheric ozone depletion, freshwater availability, and air quality, and in turn climate change is affected by many of these issues." ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |
