All finanical wealth ultimately comes from other people. Rich folks
don't get rich by spending or giving away their money; they get that
way by getting some of what others spend either because they want to
or because they have to. It all ultimately (eventually) comes from
other people's pay checks. They figure out how to get a little
piece of a whole bunch of paychecks. Sometimes it's a rather
indirect path to your paycheck and mine, but that's ultimately where
it comes from as we buy necessities, pay rent or mortgage interest,
and spend some on entertainment and discretionary stuff.

Pols like to redistribute money from fewer to more because the more
have more votes. Doesn't cost 'em a thing and it gets them what
they want: political power.

To me you've described the Democratic Party. If that's so then this
explaines
how the Republicans got so good with spin, etc. It was a matter of
survival.
