hi, wondering if anyone can direct me to sources of "large" diameter v belt
pulley sheaves.
so far i've tried surpluscenter.com, mcmaster.com, grainger.com.
surpluscenter has good prices but the outside-diameter-width is too wide.
grainger is pretty expensive but they don't have the outside diameter i was
hoping to get (15"). mcmaster, sadly, doesn't have what i was hoping to get
at all.

Probably an industrial supplier of Browning, Woods, or Dodge products. 15" is just getting
started for large air handlers...

Do you want sheaves or pulleys?
The sheave is what the belt runs in, the pulley is the entity.
Could you possibly be looking for a single sheave pulley?

The farm supply stores commonly stock a line of hubs and sheaves
designed to be welded up. Lets a farmer have a half dozen hubs, half
dozen sheaves, use the old Lincoln 'Tombstone' to assemble one when it
breaks. Quite reasonable prices, WAY less than the grainger prices.

You might check out scrap yards for old clothes dryers. Older ones
have a pair of huge pulleys in the back for the large speed reduction
required for the drum rotation.
