Today was the big day for super (corrupt) Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff
to cop a deal with federal prosecutors. Now the question is how bad are his
confessions going to be for the Republicans? The debate is how many
Republicans are going to take a fall because Abramoff spilled the beans
about their corruption. Some are saying only a few but others say as many as
20 Republicans who dealt with Abramoff are going to suffer some severe
consequences. It couldn't happen to a nicer group of guys.

So how long is the scandal going to last, how bad is it going to hurt
Republicans, will it affect the coming election, and will the public start
to believe that the Republicans have created a climate of corruption in
Washington when they see how many Republicans are crooked? The Republicans
are scattering like scalded dogs and covering their tracks as fast as they
can. House leader Dennis Hastert himself just returned $69,000 he got from
Abramoff. Tom Delay and Abramoff are closer than two peas in a pod. What
will that mean for his future? I can hardly wait to find out. Republicans
sure made a big deal about how corrupt the Clinton administration was. I
can't wait to hear what they have to say now that they're the ones getting
indicted?
