Of course you know that on his death bed, Darwin himself admited his
hypothesis regarding evolution was wrong?

While this is actually untrue (or a mis-statement of what he
said) it is still of interest to see how our present fundamentalist
religious administration is dealing with the evolution issue.

They are giving a huge amount of lip service to teaching
religion in public schools, in the guise of ID.

Yet they are also actively pouring money into an endeavor
that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that they know for a fact
that evolution is real, that it really happens in the real
world.

They are desperately trying to get manufacturers to step up their
production of influenza vaccine.

Seems that the old flu virus as evolved into a new one. And the
new one is different than the old one. Which means that not many
people have antibodies to the new critter.

Anyone want to bet real money that the virus can't evolve from
one kind of hemaglutinin, and one kind of neuridiminase, to
two other kinds?

Evolution. It's not just a fairy tale. Coming soon to a
continent near you.
