OT Another republican heard from
Who can identify the author of this particular comment:
"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are ... a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid ." "db" wrote in message . net... In article , says... The Republicans are going to be around for a long time. That is until the Whigs come back to reassert themselves. Ever since Millard Fillmore they have been laying low just waiting to once again rise to power. After all without the leadership of the Whigs, California might have never become a state. He also sent off Perry to open Japan to trade. -- Roger Shoaf About the time I had mastered getting the toothpaste back in the tube, then they come up with this striped stuff. |

Look at the judges that they are blocking, soon we will see Democratic members of Congress being sworn into the KKK, like President Harding was. Interesting point indeed. And deadly accurate. Of course its noted that Old Byrd..the main man of the Democratic party was a Grand Kleagle in the KKK. And of course, its been the Democrats who have promoted such odious racist legislation for so many years. What other group has been actively promoted a political agenda that caused so many blacks to HAVE to depend on their Democrat Massa's? And of course it was the Republicans, from Lincoln forward who were the Civil Rights leaders, while the Dems were first and formost, bigoted racists of the worst kind. IRT Byrd one could argue that there is no saint like a reformed sinner, or that he is a blackheart of the worse sort. I expect the truth is somewhere in between. What other group has been actively promoted a political agenda that caused so many blacks to HAVE to depend on their Democrat Massa's? And of course it was the Republicans, from Lincoln forward who were the Civil Rights leaders, while the Dems were first and formost, bigoted racists of the worst kind. As long as we're dumping on racists, how about Woodrow Wilson? I've read that it was he who first segregated the US Navy. -- FF |

The Republicans are going to be around for a long time. snip No longer than the house stands. There is an old saying, attributed to various ethnic groups, "don't spit in the soup, we all gotta eat. A review of the government's own socio-economic data such as the GINI index and poverty rates shows that control of the real wealth is becoming concentrated in an every smaller fraction of the population. This concentration has been a leading indicator if not a precursor for every economic crash/panic back to the civil war and currently the concentration is significantly higher than in 1929. As a follow-on, it is by no means clear to me that there has been **ANY** increase in real wealth, as most people understand it. As far as it can be determined, the claimed corporate earnings are increasingly based on the cobwebs and moonbeams of "mark to myth" derivatives, off-shore special purpose entities, tax evasion schemes, and unloading their pension obligations and other debt onto the American taxpayers and/or stiffing their creditors and retirees. And one should NOT lose sight of the fact that Bush is NOT responsible Aww, go on gunner, don't be modest. According to you and all his buddies, 'ol georgie was never responsible for *anything*. This is the reverse inverse convolution of Truman's "The Buck Stops Here" sign. GWB has one that says "I Diddin DO It!" on his desk. The rank and file is another matter, although they are more ignorant and manipulated than stupid. |
