only time the Republican State organization with held support for the
"Republicans" candidate, David Duke in this case. (Only the left-liberal
Democrats would consider David Duke a "typical republican".)
Oh, and the Democrat candidate, he really was a crook. With a
conviction for corruption while in office.

Not since January of 1961 - and, even then, we still had a National Debt
left over from WW2 and Korea.

As to a "true" set of "balanced books", you'd have to go back to January,
1933, when FDR took office and the Democrats started to spend the country
out of "The Great Depression".
