There was never any need for a "recount." It was a ploy by the Gore
people to pretend that something was wrong. NOTHING was wrong, except for
several thousand idiots that could not use a little metal pin to push a
little hole in a piece of paper.

And oh yes, the voting process also required them to be able to read. It is
difficult to have a good Democracy and smooth election when an amazing
segment of the electorate cannot read.
