The website went on to boldly proclaim that a “review of available
clinical information, including death certificates, autopsy, and
medical records has not established a causal link to COVID-19
vaccines.” This is important medical editorializing so as not to scare
people. The CDC has a vested interest in getting as many people
vaccinated as possible, so even when burying the important data about
deaths at the bottom of a page intended to assuage concerns over these
experimental drugs, they did so with every intention of making people
take it.

Well, the average age of death is ~80 so it's reasonable to conclude that 1/80th of the population dies each year.

That's a whopping lie. The CDC did not report, did not state, that any of those
people died from the vaccine. Only that there are 4000 deaths entered into
the VAERS database. Anyone can make an entry, all it records is that someone
died after getting the vaccine. Not that there was any cause and effect, not that
any doctors or scientists attributed any one of these deaths to the vaccine.
An 85 year old in a nursing home already in poor condition could die a month after
getting vaccinated from a heart attack and their spouse could enter it in the
VAERS database as possibly related to getting vaccinated. That's the data set
that VAERS is. And with the high focus on Covid, all the concern, it's logical
that there will be a lot more reporting of that kind of event following a Covid
vaccination as opposed to when it follows a flu vaccine.
