Yes, anything under about 90 volts and the neon bulbs will not fire off.
Certainly not anything clost ot 12 volts without other circuits to raise
the voltage.

I find it amazing that just one person alleging no more than** those 2
things could have any success with a news server. And afaik they don't
ask the person targetted for his side of the story, tell him what the
allegations are, warn him to shape up, or even notify him when he's
plonked.

I wonder what the actual voltage is on a CB antennae when
broadcasting??? I had an NE2 heat shrinked to the end of the CB
antenna on "the penguin" - my old Fargo - and it lit up every time I
keyed the mic - - -
