Dang, when I was a kid, me and my siblings watched Roy Rogers on the black and white console TV in the living room. Me, my brothers and other kids from the neighborhood played Cowboys and Indians in our big backyard. ^_^

My wife and sister in law met Roy Rogers in Cleveland when my sister in
law took my wife who was a little kid to knock on the door of the hotel
he was staying at. He was very nice to the kids and welcomed them.

We stopped at his museum driving from LA to Vegas many years ago. He
was not there but often showed up. I recall seeing the stuffed Trigger
and his convertible with the guns and cow horns.


They don't make TV stars that way anymore. I think some have tried but it's difficult to find a TV star who's universally revered. ^_^
