Tough wood
Wood is more than 5 times as strong cross grain as with grain. I wonder if they've accounted for that. If they even balanced it out equally in both directions that would be a huge advantage for some applications.

If they can stabilize pulp wood against rot and make it as strong as Ipe without the weight, you would really have something. |
