There was a time when I'd tell people weird codswallop just to see who they would run to and repeat what I said. I didn't start a malicious rumor that would actually cause harm, the wild nonsensical stories I told were extremely off the wall. "Hey, you know that favorite snack you're so fond of? I just read in the newspaper that the secret ingredient is infant foreskins. It's a scandal that has the FDA looking into it but since it's a natural product, the FDA may approve it." It was so funny to see the target of the prank believe it and throw their snacks away. I obtained a lot of snacks that way. There was no Internet at the time so no one was able to disprove what I told them without a visit to a library. snicker ^_^
