Default ok, followup on garage sill project

after going all summer with no major issues
i have to seal it up before winter starts.
i'm glad that it is sticking and not coming
back up (like the first two attempts).

the original project was to build up a sill
along the garage door so that water would no
longer flow into the garage. i used mortar
mix and an additive which was a bonding agent.
about 2/3rds bonding agent and 1/3rd water.

i had some bonding agent left and just
painted a few layers on top as a sealer.

the issue i've found later is very tiny
cracks due to inconsistent batches (i hand
mixed everything and could not get it all
placed at once).

so now i am at the stage where i am going
to paint it to seal it and hopefully fill in
the cracks.

buying an entire gallon of epoxy garage
paint for such a small project was out of the
range of the budget. so after talking to the
guy at the paint store who has 30yrs experience
i picked up a quart of a good primer and had
him tint it a little into the grey. so it
will probably look better than the current
sill (even out some color variations due to
some drips, etc.).

i'll first clean it up a little and then
give it two or three coats (letting it dry
well between coats).

mainly i just need to seal it up against
water and salt getting in those tiny cracks
and any further damage from freeze/thawing
through the winter.

so, we'll see how this goes... still even
with the additional $10 for paint the project
is still low budget ($5 for the bag of mortar
mix and $10 for bonding agent). and i have
the time (sorta - garden season is still
going on here until we get a harder frost).
