A volunteer group with boats is going to Texas to help with rescue.
From USA Today:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2017/08/27/cajun-navy-heads-texas-aid-rescues/606883001/

or http://tinyurl.com/ycob2m53

Of course there's some government type that wanted to get involved.
From the article:
"In spite of a state lawmaker's effort last year to require training and
permit fees, no one has taken an actual census of the group. Hains on
Sunday estimated that there are hundreds of members, most from southern
Louisiana €” thus the €śCajun€ť appellation."

Ah-ha! There it is. "fees".

Thank you, govt agency, which would blatantly make a profit from ppl's
suffering and charge other volunteers to help.

A judge once the Feds: There is Texas law and there is federal law.
Now get out of Texas.

Louisiana law; if true, would not apply under Texas law.

There are groups going from all over, even up here. Same with every
disaster. The only ones complaining are the ones that think the govt can fix
all their problems. I feel for the people affected. Everyone has a plan
until the first shot is fired and then it all goes to hell.

Las Vegas doubled staff. Some team members specialized in toxic
material. Originally 12 and then it is more members sent to help the
