Default Poll: Clinton builds lead in divided nation worried about ElectionDay violence

WASHINGTON €” As the most caustic campaign in modern American history
nears its close, Hillary Clinton has built a formidable lead over Donald
Trump approaching 10 percentage points, a USA TODAY/Suffolk University
Poll finds. But she faces a deeply divided nation that is alarmed about
the prospect of Election Day violence and what may be ahead.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...rump/92712708/

The US seems as divided with this election as the UK is with Brexit.

Oh what a tangled web we weave :-)

Why do people make such a fuss over politics? Each person picks a candidate and votes for them, no need for all this discussion.

How many people would still come to London if not for the pomp of the

They're arguably much better than a bunch of "Reality TV" actors, or
a bunch of movie actors and paid athletes. Sometimes I think that the US

envies
the UK's Royals, or those of some other European countries.

The Brits have an important advantage. We expect our Prez to be head of the
government and head of state. It doesn't work out so well. The Royals get
to do all the pomp and circumstance that people seem to crave since the
first king was crowned. The PM handles the actually running of the country.
We have this combo king/prime minister Frankenstein that doesn't seem to
work as well.
