Why do I hear myself as an echo on the phone?

I get this on my cellphone more than my landline, but I have gotten it on the LL too. Sometimes the echo is so loud I have a hard time making the call. It just happened on my LL when I called a local business. I know that business has their LL connected to a satellite along with their tv. (My LL is wired). I get this on my cell, at times whether I call another cell or a LL. This echo is my own voice and it's heard about 1/2 t one second after I speak. That's the echo from another satilite in orbit transmitting your signal. It usually is sent into outer space to a remote space station opperated by martians. When line is not properly terminated that happens. http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Causes+of+Echo |

You attempt to insult them by not capitalizing it.) being blamed for everything. It's done by a small radical sect that lives on two asteroids. Martians are, for the most part, fine people. |

That explains the cause very well. I'm curious, have you never used a search engine such as "Google"? o_O [8~{} Uncle Search Monster |

OMG, there are bullies around, be careful, one of them may shove your head into a toilet. EEEK! Everyone gets teased on Usenet but you might notice that no one was spewing foul language. Once the ribbing is over, you can get down to a serious discussion. If your skin is so thin, maybe you should only lurk in moderated groups? o_O Perhaps you should first start with an Internet search, put your findings in your post then ask for clarification from someone who understands the subject matter. Gee, golly, gosh, darn-it you poopy head! ^_^ [8~{} Uncle Teasing Monster |

I keep telling them to stop the nonsense, but they don't listen to me. Last week I even put a curfew on posting hours, but a couple of days after it was lifted, they started behaving badly again. The way they act at times is terrible. Please accept my sincerest apology and I will personally email each of the offenders and ask them to be more polite in the future or I will report them to their mother. . If you kids don't behave, I'm pulling this Internet over, taking your Usenets away and you won't get them back until we get to Grandma's house! I mean it! So cool it! o_O [8~{} Uncle Strict Monster |
