A heat pump condensing unit has a "reversing valve" builtin which allows it to reverse to direction heat moves. Technically an AC is a heat pump but it only moves heat from the inside of a building to the outside. A heat pump can move the heat in either direction. ^_^

yes condenser must be design to act as Evaporator and Condenser there for
configuration of tubing (piping) will be some what different and its
Capacity
may vary it is very important that matches size needed.
No I do not believe that "reversing Solenoid valves will be built into
system
while it may come with them but not necessarily built in.
