Yeah, that was the municipal government I think, which is not limited by the Bill of Rights. It's been going on at least as far back as 1832. I read of a case where Washington DC took a lot of run-down land for privately owned condos. The seizure included well-kept property. The court ruled in favor of Washington, which I think is part of the federal government. It's controversial, to say the least, but it's not something new that liberals thought up. |
