Current records will be destroyed after one year, according to reports
posted a day after the article.

Lucky for me, by design, they have no records on me.

That is the one thing that gets me about a concealed weapon
permit. They know who you and and know where to collect you
(not the gun).

That does not include paying for the CCW permit.

With open-carry you don't need to spend the money.

Use it or lose it.

In PA all the local govt's are repealing their restrictions because one got
sued, the court determined it's a state matter and now the repeal exodus is
on.

Of course the municipality I live in was one of the first.

I heard a guy I know ask a cop if he should get his CCW. The cop says: What
you don't feel safe in 'municipality'? Guy says sure! Cop says: Do you ever
go out of town? Then get one!

In PA $20 gets you one through the county sheriff good for 5 years. Initial
application must get paperwork from local PD which gets forwarded to sheriff
in 2 days the sheriff runs background takes 2-3 weeks. Renewels/changes/lost
are $20 with no initial app paperwork. No fingerprints.
