"Name one major American city that improved morally, socially, and economically after the city elected a liberal black mayor ('You can't do it')".

He has also been an outspoken critic of Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, challenging those unhappy with the United States to "pick a better country" and go live there.

Many of them are moving to Texas a much more business friendly state. The wealthy are leaving too due to high taxes. Wealthy people have the money to pull up stakes and move, the middle class and the poor usually can't but many people are leaving California for other states where they can find work. Soon, California will be populated by mostly Mexicans. o_O

I'm disabled and on SSI and Medicaid, I've been disabled for 25 years and kept working even though I qualified for all sorts of free stuff. I didn't want it, I worked for my money until I finally became too sick to work, got on SSI and Medicaid then had a heart attack. Now I can't even walk and I'm very frustrated because I want to work. When I was able bodied, me, my brother and our friends who worked together as contractors would help folks on fixed incomes or those having a hard time. Nobody told us or forced us to do it, we just did it. Now I can't even help myself and I'm upset about it. When I was working, I'd see able bodied people drawing disability payments, all sorts of benefits/entitlements and it made me angry. When I see it now, it makes me extremely angry. o_O

As an Army veteran. I see one color. Green. As a civilian I've had
people all my life say "you can't do that!" - like I may get in

I've always believed that if someone tells me 'no' and I believe I
should be getting a 'yes' that I won't stop until I get a 'yes'. I may
not get it as quickly as I'd like, but I believe in pursuing a goal
until I achieve it or I've exhausted all my options to go around or
above or under anything that's blocking me from being successful.
Sometimes, I simply don't know how to proceed so I just wait until I can
figure out a way to move forward. Lately, it's been a bit harder to
muster up the enthusiasm to go around or above or under the things
blocking my path, and I don't know if that's just a 'getting older'
thing or getting discouraged thing.

Some folks are just chicken **** to step out of a box.

Take command of the situation REFUSE to be a victim. If life hands you
lemons, make lemonade.

You cannot avoid being victimized in all situations, but you can stop
BEING a victim.

What you say makes sense, but at the same time it sounds like empty
platitudes. Telling them to "stop being a victim", or "rise above your
circumstances" isn't much help when it comes to struggling with actually
dealing with being a victim. It takes time to change people's mindsets
and see that they can do something different.

How do they practically REFUSE to be a victim? Stand up and curse the
world with expectations of reparations for past wrongs, or implement
more affirmative action? Once you begin to favor one group of people
you start to discriminate against another group of people.

I'm still not sure how to define a victim outlook.
