Pressure Pump not working
Hello,
i turned off the water to my house and turned off all the vavles for the pressure pump and turned off the power to the pump to do some plumbing work for a washing machine. i turned the water valves back on and turned on the power switch and the pump is not working. Is there a reset switch that i dont see or does it need to be primed somehow? thank you Bob |

What kind of pump? Submersible? Jet? If it's a priming issue, the pump would run but not pump water. Not much to go on here. |

Hello, i turned off the water to my house and turned off all the vavles for the pressure pump and turned off the power to the pump to do some plumbing work for a washing machine. i turned the water valves back on and turned on the power switch and the pump is not working. Is there a reset switch that i dont see or does it need to be primed somehow? What do you mean by not working ? Is the motor running ? Is this pump/motor above ground or submerged in the well ? If the motor is not running, check the pressure switch to see if it is made. If not, then you have pressure in the line or something stopping up the switch line to make it think there is. If the switch is made, then the motor may be bad or there could be a thermal overload switch on the motor that may need to be reset. Are you sure you turned on the power. Sometimes there is a breaker in the panel box at the house and a local disconnect switch at the pump. Check both of them. --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! First rule of do-it-yourself work. Never touch anything. It will probably break it. i turned the water valves back on and turned on the power switch and the pump is not working. Is there a reset switch that i dont see or does it need to be primed somehow? thank you Bob |
