Analysis: The Ukraine crisis through the whimsy of international law

You're claiming that events from 125 years ago are relevant today? Following similar logic, you could quickly conclude that slavery today is justified and OK, because it existed in the USA and other countries 150 years ago. See how that works? |

Don't you know your own history? Yes I know history and obviously you don't. 1959 is when it became a *state*, idiot after a free referendum in Hawaii of 17-1 to do so. Also note that the vote was not held with US troops, tanks, mines deployed all over HI, refusing to let media, observors, in. HI was annexed as a US territory in the 19th century and I thought that was what you were referring to, but you're obviously even more stupid than I thought. The USA was always as bad as the USSR. If it wasn't for the USA, you'd be speaking Geramn, or even better, the Nazis would have shoved you or your brain damaged predecessors into an oven. Eugenics was quite popluar back then and clearly something is wrong in your gene pool. |

Eugenics was invented in the USA and is still up and running. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Eugenics_Society You are an evil race. There was no free vote in Hawaii. As with Crimea, Hawaii was stuffed with foreigners from mainland USA before the "vote". (Including members of the armed forces and a large naval base.) Acknowledged in the USA (finally). http://www.freehawaii.org/bill103.html You were kicked out of the Philipines, you will be kicked out of Hawaii. |

Eugenics was quite popluar back then and clearly something is wrong in your gene pool. Eugenics was invented in the USA and is still up and running. Liar, it was invented by a kinght in your own country, imbecile: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugenics "Eugenics, as a modern concept, was originally developed by Francis Galton. It has roots in France, Germany, Great Britain and the United States in the 1860s-1870s.[5]" "Sir Francis Galton, FRS was an English Victorian polymath: anthropologist, eugenicist, tropical explorer, geographer, inventor, meteorologist, proto-geneticist, psychometrician, and statistician. He was knighted in 1909. " And clearly the Nazis were the ones that carried to the greatest extremes. The record of the 6 mil Jews, homosexuals, handicapped that they shoved in ovens speaks for itself, idiot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Eugenics_Society You are an evil race. Further proof that you're an idiot. This is the firs time that I've heard that a USA "race" exists. There was no free vote in Hawaii. As with Crimea, Hawaii was stuffed with foreigners from mainland USA before the "vote". (Including members of the armed forces and a large naval base.) Acknowledged in the USA (finally). http://www.freehawaii.org/bill103.html That's back in the 19th century, exactly as I said, not 1959. Again, if you want to go back there and use that as an excuse for Russian invading Crimea in 2014, then you can just as easily justify slavery anywhere in the world today, because it existed in a similar timeframe. You really are an idiot. You were kicked out of the Philipines, you will be kicked out of Hawaii. Maybe it't time to look closer to home at the collapse of the UK empire on which the sun never set. How many major countries have you been "kicked" out of? And that whole argument is the exact opposite of what you're claiming, but you're too stupid to realize it. If a country wants us to take our bases out, like Philipines, we've done that, we didn't send troops and tanks in to conquer them like Putin did. The US has never sought to invade and conquer. Our record of defeating enemies of the world, ie Germany, Italy, Japan, then rebuilding them and setting them free speaks for itself. You truly are the village idiot and totally deranged. |

Sent their asses home with their coat tail sucked into the crack of their asses. Huh harry? We defeated the British - the first and only nation to perform the task. Some Vikings and Romans may debate this. |

Because they were born in a U.S. territory, they were legal U.S. citizens. The Hawaii Republican Party, strongly supported by plantation owners, was voted out of office. What he apologized for was 125 years ago. That is what I pointed out to you, that you're trying to apply what went on 125 years ago to the world today. You could just as easily justify slavery today using your logic. And when I pointed that out you said: "1959 ****-fer-brains. Don't you know your own history? " So, gfre quickly pointed out that your reference to 1959 is BS, because that is when Hawaii became a state after their govt, citizens, lobbied for it for years. See the difference now? And why does your penis envy focus on the USA? Why aren't you here bitching about the many countries that the UK acquired as part of it's Empire, in one way or another 100+ years ago? And like the USA, in the case of the UK, I think you'd have to go back a hell of a long way to find a case where they sent troops into a sovereign nation that they had no conflict with, that wasn't bothering them, etc. like Putin just did with Crimea. |

What happened in this case was judicial misconduct and suppression of evidence by local officials in one county, in one state. Your claim comparing the USA to the USSR remains bull****. For what goes on in Russia, 60 Mins ran a story about a month ago, before their invasion of Crimea. It was about an American businessman who started a venture fund in the 90s to invest in Russia. The idea was to buy govt owned companies at a price where they could make a reasonable profit as they existed. And then to make them efficient, get rid of the waste, incompetence, corruption, etc and thereby make more money for themselves, the employees, etc. If you had invested $1 when it started, a decade later the fund was worth $35. Problem was, they were too successful and got the wrong people ****ed off. This guy came back to the USA for a trip and when he tried to go back to Russia, at immigrations there they told him he had been kicked out of the country and could not enter. The police raided 3 of his companies that were worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Using the documents from the police seizure, they then falsified records as if the companies had been legally sold. To whom? Essentially the Russian mafia. Whereupon the new "owners" applied for a tax refund from the Russian govt. They got it, $250mil, the largest ever in russia. And you know that didn't just involve some low level Russian tax officials, it had to go to the top. So, he hired the best tax attorney in Russia, a 35 year old with a record of winning cases, honest, guy. He starts to pursue it and next his offices and house are searched and he's arrested for tax fraud. Normally, someone like that would be out in a couple of days on bail. They denied him bail and put him in an unheated jail cell in the middle of winter. He was there mistreated for almost a year despite 20 attempts by his lawyer to get him medical treatment. Finally they took him to the prison hospital and 4 hours later, he was dead. Heart attack, they claimed. No autopsy allowed. And when this caused a bit of controversy, they have a nice video tape of Putin saying basically, "nothing unusual here, people die in prison all the time. Don't they die in American jails too..." So they stole 3 companies worth maybe a billion, another $250 mil from the Russian treasury and killed an innocent man. So, you know how Putin acquired his $70bil in wealth. I keep saying instead of pretending, being nice, it's time we had someone like Reagan who would speak the truth and tell the world that Putin is indeed evil. If we started to do that, undermine the SOB at home, maybe it would start a second Russian revolution. Instead, the ****ant is part of the G8? With an economy that's 1/16 of the USA? Good grief. |
