Site built trusses. I have never seen that done. Did they make you
provide engineering?

We live in rural Stone County Arkansas ... there are no inspections or
engineering reviews . Which means that some will cut corners and take
chances . Not me , I have been in constructioon trades for nearly 40 years ,
seen a lot of what not to do . Information like engineering data for trusses
and static/dynamic load information for floor joists is freely available on
the web , along with just about anything else you ever wanted to know . I've
learned a great deal while designing/building this project and look forward
to learning much much more . Yesterday I learned how to split oak for
firewood with a hammer and wedge ...
