Yes, they were showing pictures of the flooding on both the CBC and CTV television networks today here in Winnipeg.

Where I live, the terrain is flat so that floods spread out all over the southern half of the province and last for weeks. In the mountains, though, the water gets channeled into the middles of valleys, and so you have a smaller flood area, but with very much faster flowing water and much worse damage in that area. We never see cars and houses floating down the river with our floods. Bridges never get knocked off their structural supports in our floods. All we ever get are flooded basements and boil water advisories, but that's bad enough. Rarely is a road ever washed out here due to a flood. The road gets flooded, and a week or two later the water subsides, and a week or two later the government opens the road back up to vehicular traffic. Cows walk to higher ground in our floods.

Yet, the south-eastern corner of CO is still suffering "extreme" (D3)
level drought conditions, as did most of the state one year ago. I'm
in the headwaters of the Arkansas R valley, dead center in the CO
Rockies, and the river has risen a little over seven inches in the
last 24hrs. Far from crisis levels. Not even Spring runoff levels.
Fifty percent chance (almost certain) of more rain today and tomorrow.
We need it, badly.

I live about 50 ft from river, but am about 50 above it, so no
problem, here. Unfortunate for N CO, but flash floods after a drought
are pretty common.

Even without watching the videos, the still pictures of the damage are
really frightening. My compassion to all who live there. Another poster
comments that those who were prepared should do OK, if they have the
necessary home storage of water, food, light, etc. Better to evacuate,
and live with relatives for two weeks while this blows over. Might come
home to a washed away house, and looted and stolen, too.
