Default All is not lost: Introducing the HEATBALL

"What's a heatball? According to this [inventor], it is a "small heating
device" that compensates for the loss of heat a home experiences when
conventional light bulbs are swapped for more energy efficient ones."

Regrettably, says the inventor, the HEATBALL puts out light in the visible
spectrum...

I used to know someone who could ave used them in her small greenhouse.
A few Heatballs would give off uenough heat to prevent freezing.

Subject: "Heatballs" - Their time has come

Heh!

[BERLIN] Siegfried Rotthaeuser and his brother-in-law have come up
with a
legal way of importing and distributing 75 and 100 watt light bulbs --
by
producing them in China, importing them as "small heating devices"
and
selling them as "heatballs."

She didn't look around hard enough. They have been on the market for years.
Google - small greenhouse heat

If the greenhouse was really small
Google - terrarium heat

Good catch. The latest article is dated December 30th. Don't you think that
perhaps there's something new?

Either I'm missing your joke or your missing the whole thing.

First off, it's a frigging light bulb. The same light bulb as last
year and the year before that and the year before that.

There's nothing "new" going on here except for what German businessman
Siegfried Rotthaeuser decided to call a light bulb. You'll note that
the latest article you linked us too mentions his name.

And hey, look! Those are the same names (both "inventor" and product)
as you posted in Oct 2010.

No, in this case, I don't think that perhaps there's something new.

Here, check out the date of this article:
